Online retailer Andrew James have installed the Red Ledge E-Commerce Warehouse Management System at their facilities in Durham. The system uses a combination of bar-coding (for goods receipt and replenishment tasks) and voice technology (for picking). The system calculates the number of pickers required for the days orders (and how long they will take to despatch). Depending on the delivery method, the system automatically prints a delivery box-label straight to the picker's mobile printer or a routing label for subsequent automated sortation, packing and labelling of the boxes. The system automatically replenishes the pick face from bulk stock to ensure a smooth work-flow.

It also controls the inspection, weighing and cutting of customer orders, automatically stopping the inspection machine in the correct place (to allow faults to be removed, or final cut). The system utilisises touch screen technology to simplify the inspection process and includes full reporting.

The Myers Group have chosen Red Ledge to provide a Fleet Management System which links directly to their Asset and Job Management System (also supplied by Red Ledge). The system ensures vehicles are maintained on schedule, and includes general service, MOT, Tachograph checks and of course unscheduled visits to the garage! Engineers are guided through a vehicle service using touchscreens (Panasonic Toughbooks) linked via WIFI or GPRS to the central computer. Re-torque jobs are automatically created whenever a wheel is replaced or removed. Parts and labour are calculated for each vehicle, building up a complete vehicle history.

Minova England producers of the worlds finest cloth, have installed the latest version of our radio frequency Warehouse Management System along with RFID tracking of their roll-stock. Red Ledge have also automated the cutting of suit lengths to exact standards as well as interfacing to both UPS and FEDEX (IP and IPD) systems, automatically producing despatch labels. In addition we have used screen adaptor technology to interface seamlessly to the existing legacy IBM system.

In order to avoid counterfeit pharmaceuticals, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) is pressing to uniquely identify individual pharmaceutical packages. Some countries (Turkey, Greece, Italy, Belgium, France) have already introduced this practice independantly of any EU laws or directive. Red Ledge launches latest fast-build development tool for manufacturing, asset and warehouse management systems.

Our development team have been busy! They have now added the ability for users of our "CORE" to define their own graphical interpretations of their data. Each graph can be defined with a refresh-timer to allow displays to be refreshed with up-to-date information. Alerts can also be created for each graph, so that when a particular event occurs (for example, a failed test in production, or, critically low stock in a warehouse location) our systems will automatically inform (via email or text message) the relevant member(s) of staff. Key performance indicators (KPIs) can be created and monitored using this easy-to-use functionality. Graphs (and indeed data tables) can be included into one windows-form to enable users to design their own information dashboards. The CORE forms the basis of our Warehouse Management System and Production Management System.
